The 2023 Toyota Venza is based on the second-generation model, which debuted in the 2021 model year. For 2023, the Venza continues mostly unchanged, save for the introduction of a new trim. This is known as the Nightshade and builds upon the XLE with new black wheels, as well as black front and rear bumper accents, grille surround, door handles, and mirror caps. The XLE trim now gains foglamps as standard. The rest of the range remains as is.
There are four trims for the 2023 Venza, namely:
The LE is the base trim and offers ample features at a competitive price point. At the other end of the spectrum, the Limited trim offers a fully loaded and luxurious midsize SUV experience.

The 2023 Venza offers a roomy cabin with space for up to five adults in a cabin that offers 98 cubic feet of space for passengers and 28 cubic feet of luggage space. An optional electrochromic panoramic sunroof called Star Gaze is one of the more exclusive options in the segment, which electronically transforms the glass from transparent to opaque.
The base LE model receives an 8-inch touch screen for the infotainment system, with a larger 12.3-inch unit standard from XLE upwards. Dual-zone climate control with air purification is standard across the range, as are power driver and passenger seats. A digital instrument cluster heated and ventilated front seats and a nine-speaker JBL sound system are part of the options list.
The 2023 Venza’s infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, Amazon Alexa, and SiriusXM across all trims, as is wireless phone charging plus at least four wired charging ports.
Sporting a bold and dynamic outlook, the 2023 Venza showcases Toyota’s current styling direction, with cues from Lexus as well. For 2023, the Nightshade trim package is the most prominent addition to the exterior. It brings black front and rear bumper accents, grille surround, mirror caps, and door handles. Stylish black alloy wheels complete the darkened outlook.
The 2023 Toyota Venza offers seven colors, of which three can be chosen for the Nightshade edition.
The 2023 Venza is offered in hybrid form, which sees a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine from Toyota’s Dynamic Force engine family paired with two electric motors. Drive goes to all four wheels through a CVT automatic transmission.
The 2023 Venza offers a system total of 219 horsepower. This is enough for a 7.6-second time in the zero-to-60 benchmark, as tested by Car & Driver. A 14.5-gallon fuel tank offers ample range, aided by the hybrid system’s fuel-saving characteristics.
